I'm attending the annual PPNC association convention today through Wednesday. The convention has seminars, a print competition, trade show, and social events.  It's a great way to keep up with changes to the industry, to learn new skills, and to meet other photographers from around the state.  The photography industry changes so quickly it is hard to keep up but I am excited to do my best to keep creating interesting portraits.

Back again tomorrow bright and early with lots of coffee to keep the brain cells working. :)

Well, it turns out that there was a special surprise for me during the night of the Banquet. When they called my name for a Scholarship Award, I received the Midwest Photo Scholarship by PPNC to the East Coast School! http://www.eastcoastschool.com/ECS_2011.html Thanks PPNC! I am so excited to attend this summer.
